Looking up a registration

When you enter a number plate we retrieve the vehicle's MOT record from DVSA. A copy is kept for a few hours so that a repeat check is quick, then discarded. We do not record who looked up which registration, and registrations are never linked to an IP address, cookie or account. The report exists only in your browser; nothing is stored on our side beyond that short-lived cache.

MOT reminders

If you set up a reminder we store the registration and the email address you give us, together with the MOT expiry date, solely to send the reminder. You confirm the address by clicking a link we email you. Every reminder email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it deletes the record immediately. The data is held on Cloudflare's infrastructure.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to us and kept only for as long as it takes to deal with them.

Cookies and analytics

The site works without cookies. If analytics is enabled, it is configured without advertising features. If Cloudflare Turnstile protects a form, it sets a functional cookie for that purpose only. If advertising is shown, the advertising network may set its own cookies in line with its policies; a consent prompt appears where the law requires one.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you and have it deleted through the contact page. In practice the only personal data we hold is reminder sign-ups, and the unsubscribe link removes those instantly.
